Dearest reader,
I am beyond honored that I’ve been nominated for the Liebster Award! I was nominated by the awesome Samantha – do check out her blog here.
Rules:
- Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog
- Answer the 11 questions given to you
- Nominate 11 bloggers and ask them questions
- Notify nominees once you have uploaded your post
So, without further ado, here are the answers to the questions I’ve been given:
1. What is your favorite book and why?
This is a tough one because the more I read the more I forget what my favorite book is. Currently, it’s Daddy loves his girls by Bishop T.D Jakes because it’s written in letter format. I love letters, I enjoy feeling like the writer is speaking to me alone, and that’s how I felt reading it. 🙈The other reason it’s my current-favorite is because it reaffirms me as a daughter of God and teaches on how to deal with different hurdles/stages of life without forgetting who I am and whose I am.
2. What song do you currently have on repeat?
“Fall on me” by Guvna B and Wretch 32.
3. Which season (spring, summer, winter, or fall) best describes you?
In Uganda, we have only the wet and dry seasons which 2020 has refused to respect. But in answer to the question, I would probably have to say fall. I’m cool with shedding my discolored leaves if they no longer serve me.
4. In the event of an emergency evacuation, what is the first item you grab?
My phone. It’s the most logical item to take with me because I’ll be able to call for help should need arise.
5. Which historical figure would you most like to meet and why?
(scratches head) Where to begin! Does Madam CJ Walker count? Because I’d love for her to take me through the process of making her hair products. I could also use notes on how to become a millionaire because right now, the bag is stubbornly refusing to be secured. 😂
6. What makes a good blog?
The easy answer is consistency, enjoying the blogging yourself whilst also listening to your readers.
The hard answer is, good is subjective. What is good for me may not necessarily work for you. And that’s okay.
7. Would you go back to the past or forward to the future?
Can’t I just carry the past with me to the future? Because that’s what I’m always doing. I carry the beautiful memories, and the lessons from the pain to the future. So in a way, you could say I’ve seen the future. 😉
8. What is your dream vacation?
Someplace quiet, where I can hear birds sing. Someplace beautiful, where nothing obstructs the sunrise or sunset. A place with tasty food. The food is the most important aspect of it because what kind of vacation would it be without delicious food?
9. What is the greatest movie of all time?
The gods must be crazy. 😂
10. Wealth or health?
Health! What is the point of wealth without health?
11. What is your proudest moment?
Just one? Well, every time I’ve listened to the Holy spirit I’ve made myself proud. When that woman, almost thrice my age, was hurling insults at me, because I tried to correct her, I kept quiet because the Holy Spirit said to, otherwise who knows how that would have ended or if it would have ended at all. 😂😎
Criticize a person who is rude and shows no respect, and you will only get insults. Correct the wicked, and you will only get hurt.
Proverbs 9:7
It’s a real struggle sometimes, but I’m proud of myself whenever I let the Helper help me.
Samantha, thanks again for this nomination. I nominate anyone who’s willing to respond to the same questions.
Questions 8 has made my day and 😂😂😂😂 especially the ending 😅
